Blue Devils top Raiders, 78-25

VIRGINIA – Mitch Buck led all scorers with 20 points and the Virginia boys basketball team bounced back from its first loss of the season Tuesday at Cloquet with a dominating 78-25 victory over Greenway, Saturday night at Roosevelt Gymnasium in Virginia.
Cavan Stackpool added 17 points for the Blue Devils (3-1), who opened up a 44-13 halftime lead and cruised in the final 18 minutes. Virginia went 14-for-17 from the free throw line.
Kyle Root led the Raiders with nine points.
The Blue Devils will host Mesabi East in a battle of former Section 7AA rivals, Tuesday night.
