E-G Area Girls Hockey team loses a close one to G-R-G

The Grand Rapids/Greenway girls hockey team went ahead 4-0 after scoring four unanswered goals in the second period and the Golden Bears fell just short of a comeback in a 4-3 loss on Tuesday night.

Eveleth-Gilbert Area got third period goals from Caley Westin, Emma Kishel (unassisted) and Jordana Turner but simply ran out of time. Vicky Fossland compiled 26 saves for the Bears.

E-G (6-2-1) plays at Hibbing/Chisholm Thursday.
